(Dropbox and WeTransfer personal FTP and other platforms are also acceptable. Please specify which platform you are using)
Please ensure all required files are uploaded at least 24 hours before the session
Please make sure to bring your own backup hard drive, so that you have access to your files at all times. We are not a library and not responsible for your tracks.
Music Production Tech Specs
If your project originated from any other DAW other than ProTools, please export an AAF file of the project files. AAF files allow us to fine tune any edits of individual parts.
*Note- there is no AAF choice for exporting files from Cubase
Logic users: If you would prefer to send BIP files, please make sure your edits are clean with no pops or clicks
Stereo tracks: make sure the volume is set to "0", and the panning is set for hard left/hard right (100% each side)
MONO tracks should NOT panned. They should be set to ZERO
Please note
When transferring tracks from one DAW to another, Plug ins will not transfer.
If you have tracks where the processing is essential, please bounce out those tracks individually with the desired processing.

Video
The video associated with the project should be exported as Apple ProRes 422 (.mov) or DNxHD 1280×720 in size.

2 Pop
Before exporting, please be sure to include a “2 Pop” on your timeline, for both picture and sound.
With apologies to those who know, here is the basic idea: Put a one-frame audio beep and a corresponding graphical “2″ on the screen. This event should happen exactly two seconds before the first frame of action of your project. If your project is digitally based and will likely stay that way, it is common for the “2 pop” to go at 00:59:58:00, with the “first frame of action” landing on 01:00:00:00. If your project is being delivered split into A/B reels for an eventual film print release, it is best to use an Academy leader, with “picture-start” at 01:00:00:00, the “2 Pop” at 01:00:06:00, and the “first frame of action” at 01:00:08:00.
